Travis Lynch - President

Travis Lynch has many years of experience in web application development and distance learning technologies. He has designed and built numerous learning management systems (LMS) and has developed over a hundred distance learning courses. Clients include the United States Postal Service, BrightLine Compliance, Inc., Technology TEAM, Inc., and the Americal Culinary Federation. As director of The OpenLMS Foundation, Mr. Lynch has contributed to the success of several large eLearning projects including the Partnership for Peace (PfP) LMS.

Mr. Lynch has 10 years experience as a software engineer in the distance learning industry. He served as the senior software engineer and technical manager at a leading e-learning company and as a member of the executive operating committee for that firm. He has designed, built and implemented custom learning management systems for Fortune 100 firms (such as Accenture) and for government. His career interests lie in delivering the richest possible online learning environment while adhering to e-learning standards across a wise range of bandwidth and platform environments.

Mr. Lynch has been an active observer of the open source community since the rise of Linux and has participated in various projects in the open source community and in the learning standards community since 1999. He has been an active observer of developments in the e-learning standards community throughout his career. Mr. Lynch is a member of the Apple Developer Connection.

After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Economics, he worked at NASA Southern Technology Applications Center (STAC) focusing on Technology Transfer. His longtime software development hobby evolved into a career after he contributed to several CBT projects while at STAC. From 1994-today he has been working as a software engineer developing CBT, WBT and edutainment software titles. In this time he has led the development of and contributed to several award-winning titles.
